CAREER EXPO 2017

The 2017 NM Aviation Aerospace STEM Expo was held at the White Sands-Alamogordo Regional Airport in Alamogordo, NM.  This was the first time we held our event off a military installation.  The City of Alamogordo and the Airport Board requested we move our event and they would assist us with promoting the event.  The Airport Manager and Bob Pavelka from Ed’s Flying Service were key personnel in assisting us with ramp and hangar space.  We registered 61 exhibitors for the hangar, 15 other exhibits outside the ramp area and 32 private and military aircraft.  Attendance was 3,272 students attending with over 4,000 people on site.  Alamogordo Public Schools played a big role in the increased student attendance by bringing over 2,300 students to the event.
